The importance of lawn maintenance

It rained here EVERY SINGLE DAY last week here in Indy...and our yard looked like a JUNGLE!

Mom said she almost couldn't see me because the grass was so tall!

Do you see the soccer ball?
Photobucket
Yeah, it was hard for us too!

When we got home from Meetup on Saturday...HOLDEN said that HE wanted to mow the yard, but first...he got a few pics of his own feet buried in the pampas....

Holden did SUCH a good job and the yard looks SO great now! We couldn't believe how many living things we found in the yard that day once all the tall grass was moved...toads, grasshoppers and THIS..........
Photobucket
HAHAHA!! Just kidding....Max the Peekapoo puppy came to visit us!

Max belongs to mommy's friend Natalie and he's only a few weeks old!

Here's mommy with Max...how CUTE is he?

I thought he was ok...but wasn't really up for playing. He let me sniff him and check him out, but that was about it.

Maybe we'll be friends when he's bigger.

SO...be sure to check your lawns carefully...you never know WHAT you might find!

Happy Monday everyone!

Max is cute. Definately not manly like us, though. It's a good thing Holden mowed your lawn. Don't ya hate it when you're trying to pee and the grass is tickling your wee wee?

My backyard looks like that TOO! If it would just stop raining for 5 seconds, we could get it mowed! Sheesh!

Max is a total cutie! I am sure you'll warm up to him Salinger. The meetup looked fun! As always!

Momma is bugging me about coming home from Obedience School, so I am considering catching a flight home today. The woman is so needy, I tell ya.

Hahaha our lawn is the same way except we have some serious dandilions going on as well. We are once again those neighbors that don't take care of their yard!

Sal, buddy....I am so happy to see this post. NOTHIN' is more important than lawn maintenance, I tell ya what.

And good fer Bobby - oops, I mean Holden - for wantin' to cut grass! That boy just might be right after all!

Wow! Look at that grass. We only had one day of rain. And actually I think it was at night. Dad mowed the lawn this weekend as well. Nothing living in there that I could tell.

Salinger - Our lawn looked just like that until yesterday when Dad cut it. He mulched it so there are some really big piles of grass just laying around for me to poke around in.

How cool that you found a puppy under all that pampas - not! Max is very cute and hopefully he will get with the program as he grows up. I haven't found anything under all my grass except for some delicious bunny poop - I love it!

SalingerPuggy, this here is your good buddy Howie. That is real cool that you found a little peekypoo in your yard. I'm gonna go see if I can find a kitten in my yard. I have always wanted one of them. I would also enjoy delishush Bunny poop but may have to go to StubbyMan's yard fur that.

Our grass is so tall right now...we're almost scared to have dad cut it. He say's that it's too wet to mow, but we think he's just holding out till our big brother gets home so he can make him cut it!

OMD, that's what my yard looks like too! Crap, I hope we don't find a puppy, the last thing I need is another little sister...
