Egg Cradler 3000 Friday!

Holden's grade had their EGG DROP projects due this week! They had to design/build some sort of contraption to protect an egg from breaking when dropped. Holden worked SO hard on his project (ALL BY HIMSELF, unlike a good portion of the class...which mom is NOT going to get worked up about now...)

Holden did several test runs here at home while I (Salinger T. Pug, Esq.) supervised the operation....



YAY HOLDEN!!!!!

He tested a few more times here at home and then mom safely delivered Holden and his Egg Cradler 3000 to school for the big day...

GUESS what happened when the actual Egg Drop happened at school???


RUT ROH!


Holden was SO bummed out because he thought for SURE after all that testing, tweaking and more testing that his Egg Cradler 3000 had enough shock absorption to withstand the force of the drop. Bummer dude! I was waiting there to either celebrate or comfort him when he got home from school (both are the same really...I was just excited to see him!)


Scrambled eggs, or not...we're still SO proud of you Holden and we know that you're a genius!!! ;-)

Superbowl festivities and possible explanation...

Ugh...good morning after a heartbreaking Superbowl Sunday everyone. By now, you all know that our beloved Colts LOST to the Saints (yeah...they showed us "Who Dat" all right!)

We had a fun time here at our house....here are some pics (and can you believe that mom didn't get ANY of the food?)

She wanted to SEE Lucas Oil Stadium (where the Colts play) and we think she laid some kind of voodoo/gris gris on our Colts back then so they would be sure to lose the Superbowl....here is proof of her casting this odd "spell" using what could ONLY be some sort of ancient magic gesture....

We didn't think we believed in all that hooey...but we are kind of thinking twice this morning!

Christmas came EARLY this weekend!

Hi everyone and MERRY EARLY CHRISTMAS! We had a VERY busy weekend here at The Lazy K Ranch (haha). We had everyone together (Me, Mom, Dad, Holden, Will and Lizz) and we went to go visit Hank and Molly's family! Their daddy took this great pic of my hoomans with Hank and Molly, but I was being turdley and am not in the pic.


Mom forgot the farkakte camera, but jump on over to Hank and Molly's blog for a good recap of our vist! We'll just tell you that we went for a very special screening of a very heartwarming Christmas show...

Project FAIL (but maybe a good thing!)

Hoo boy! Mom really did it this time! She and dad were laughing so hard last night they KEPT ME AWAKE waaaay past my bedtime (the NERVE!)

Mom has always prided herself on being very frugal (read: cheap). She really REALLY wanted to order this cute Tshirt but was appalled at the price ($18.99 plus shipping!).

CUTE...but mom has a hard time paying that kind of money especially when it's not to benefit anything.

SO..........

She schlepped to about eleventy-teen stores looking for the perfect tshirt (WalMart $7), the printable iron on transfers (WalMart $7), The iron on lettering (Michaels $5) and then factor in another $10 or so in gas from driving all over Indy in the name of "frugality". So all that schlepping and WHAT do you get???????

Project = FAIL

BUT...remember....mom is RESOURCEFUL! She may not have a cute P is for Pug tshirt to wear to Meetup tomorrow, but she things it might be a good idea to hang up in the bathroom at the Posse's house to collect donations for KPR when someone uses the bathroom! Get it??? PISFOR PUGS!!!!!

Out of commission....temporarily!

Hi everyone! Sorry for the silence lately, but we had a WICKED thunderstorm blow through here Monday night and our next door neighbor's house was struck by lightning (really...there's a HOLE in the front of their house!). We think the current must have traveled through the phone lines because our phone system and main desktop computer are COOKED! The computer (which has all my camera software and pictures on it!) is with the Geek Squad right now and they are figuring out how to either revive or repair/replace it (kudos to Kevin for opting for the extended service plan!). SO...we are checking emails and TRYING to work on a rickety old Sanford and Son jerri rigged computer held together with duct tape and powered by a retarded geriatric hamster pedaling a rusty bicycle under the desk. (Not really...but you get the idea).

SO...stick with us and check back every few days and hopefully we'll be back in one piece again soon!
