Look at these treats!!

Mom was shopping at Whole Foods the other day and saw THESE!

Photobucket

HAHAHAHAAA! Look at that ridiculous HAT that poor guy is wearing!!!!!

Mom didn't buy me any because A. They were crazy expensive (like everything else at Whole Paycheck...er...we mean Whole Foods) and B. She was honked off that they were OUT of the only 2 things she went in there for in the first place (ostrich and carob chips) so she left empty handed in protest. She even resisted a stop at the Make-your-own-almond butter machine, so you know she was really mad! She's pretty sure her not buying anything will TOTALLY fix their little red wagon! ;-)

Happy Hump Day everyone!!!

Poor Mr. Pugsly!! I sure hope all that outrageous money we are paying to Whole Foods didn't fund that HAT!!!

that is hilarious and ridiculous. We don't have a whole foods around here, but I don't feel like I'm missing too much. I doubt I will be shopping for Ostrich any time soon....but please let us know what you were planning on doing with it!!

Rachel (and any other interested parties...),

They sell ostrich pre packaged either ground as burgers OR as a filet (like a steak). We just treat it like beef and grill it up with some salt and pepper. It really is delicious and the texture/flavor is a lot like beef, but a bit lighter. It's really unlike any poultry, but has the nutritional benefits (VERY low fat, high protein) of poultry.

As for the carob...decoration for doggie treats!

Maybe next time!

LMAO...Oh, poor Mr. Pugsly!!!

And ostrich and carob chips?? What are those?

Aren't they crazy expensive? And I notice that I always get lost in there because their aisles aren't set up normally (things are grouped funny!) Plus the whole spend 30$ on 4 things.

My family tends to eat moose, it has barely any fat in it and tastes alot like beef. :)

(Poor moose!)
I think we have a whole foods around here but now that I know it is expensive, I don't think I will go anytime soon! Coco gets natural snacks anyway, and they are much cheaper! (carrots and green beans).

Hi Salinger! Bailey said I should share this photo we found on I Has a Hotdog: http://ihasahotdog.com/2009/01/14/funny-dog-pictures-fetcher-in-the-rye/

We know you have a special relationship with Catcher in the Rye!

You are so much cuter than Mr. Puglsy!

That is a very funny box. Poor pug, wearing that ridiculous hat. As for the treats, are they made with the peanut butter that is being recalled?

Poor pug on the treat package.
While we are talking about grocery stores, we don't have Whole Foods in Canada (I don't think....) but I love shopping at American grocery stores because they have the coolest food! Like a huge assortment of Goldfish cracker varieties!!
