Painting Snoopervisor

Hi there! Yep...I'm the Painting Snoopervisor today! NOT the artist type like my friends Paco, Emmitt or Howie, Annie and Java....we're talking hardcore WALL painting!

Here I am at the jobsite (a.k.a. living room) making sure the drop cloths were soft, comfortable, and warmed up.


Next, I had to test the viscosity and durability of the paint that mom had rolled onto the wall in the foyer...

"Ummm...I think you're going to have to do that part again, mom!"


On the plus side...it's a very close match to my lovely fawn color!

Don't judge me...I'm the shop steward of United Adorable Pugs of America Local 311 and I was on my coffee break!!! It's in the contract!!!


Jackassery aside...the finished product looks AAAA-MAZING!

YAY! Jerry and I are all finished with our new wall/fireplace/corner!!!

TAH-DAH!!!!!!! That's me (the project snoopervisor) with Jerry, residential construction and remodeling specialist extraordinaire!!!


Look closely at the cool niche that Jerry built so the DVR and Blu-ray player can have their wires hidden!

Mom didn't waste any time "puggifying" it with our Cupug and Punk Rock Pug tchochkies!!!!


Mom can't decide which of these or order for the new faux fireplace...

Knowing her...she'll probably get BOTH and switch 'em up!


Mr. Jerry and I had SO much fun while he was here. He has a big Golden named Scout so he knew all the best doggie games to play...
We played TUG...

Back on the job

We've had some yucky weather here in Indy and the peeps had eleventy bajillion other things going on this weekend, so we're JUST now getting you caught up with our big home improvement project!

Here I am last Friday...still snoopervising Jerry as he was putting the tile in place!

"Ok, Jerry...I have to keep my PugButt off this tile for 24 hours while it's drying...right?"


"I'll be sure to patrol this area to keep the peeps off!"

"You can count on me, Jerry!"


Saturday morning, mom got busy with the roller and PAINTED the wall, and when it was dry, our buddy Mr. Rob (a.k.a. Taco) and dad (a.k.a. "Lucky") did THIS....

OOOOHHHHH! I don't have to get all barky and yelly when people walk in front of me on the couch while I'm watching my stories now!!!


Dad and Mr. Rob did a REALLY good job with all the wires and different pieces and parts that were needed to get the picture box up on the wall, but different things kept happening and they had to make like 84958573939237495 trips back and forth to Home Depot, Fry's Electronics and Best Buy!!!!! Mom got giggly and threatened to post THIS all over town and on the doors of those stores!

HAHAHAHAAA!


Mr. Jerry came back on Monday and stuck the rest of the tile up on the wall, and THIS is what it looks like TODAY!

ALMOST done! The fireplace mantle and trim will hopefully be done tomorrow...YAY!

We REALLY liked Tweedles' guess of this being a BAR, but that's not it!

A few of you have guessed FIREPLACE and you would be correct! There is another purpose for this wall too, so stay tuned!

Home Improvements!

Mom and Dad are on this BIG home improvement kick and are working on a LOT of changes around here. We'll post some more pics from last month when Mimi and Pa were here helping, but I wanted to let you know what's going on THIS week!

Cleaning up my act!

In light of all my recent jackassery, Mom told me I had to "clean up my act"....so Dad decided he would help me...



"Holy proper amount of suction!!! What IS that thing?"



Dad said it was a "Dyson Ball" vacuum! HEEEYYYYY....I've seen that commercial!!!



We took it for a spin and it looked like a whole NEW PUG was formed from JUST the downstairs carpet!!!!!!! OMG!!!



Wow...this thing really SUCKS (and I mean that as a compliment!)

I should be all cleaned up in NO time!!!

I was running around being all growly and NUTS and was roaching around (like my buddy Stanley!) on the couch pillows for NO REASON at all!

The humans have gone HOUSE crazy!

Mommy and daddy have been working very hard getting our house "de-ghettoed" for Mimi's visit this week! Mimi is my grandma (Mommy's mom) and she is bringing Great Grandpa down to visit us. We are very excited, but have also been working very hard to get the house looking nice. Here are some examples of OUR handiwork (I say OUR because as the Pug, I play the most important role of moral support and comic relief).

FIRST...daddy put up these cool shelves in the garage to store all of our holiday crap. He said bad words about mommys Christmas stuff, but she used bad words back at HIM and said she's not getting rid of any of it. HAHA!


I'm dreaming of a puggy Christmas!!!!!!!!!



There is MORE Christmas crap in these boxes too!


Daddy bought this cool sign in San Fransisco. I tried to get them to put it on the front door, but they thought it looked better here in the garage.

Yesterday, Mommy and daddy stained the deck! I wasn't allowed outside at all and that made me all growly and whiney. I watched from the doorwall and then showed them where to put all the furniture this morning when it was dry.

OK...looks good!



OH...remember that cool deck planter box that mommy made? WELL...daddy filled it with dirt and mommy planted her basil in it and then they figured out that it was a BAD idea because I can GET IN IT and DIG DIG DIG!!!!!! HAHAHAHAHAHAAHAA! Mommy said she's going to buy some of that cute wood picket fencing to keep me out, but until she does that, daddy jeri-rigged up some wood and old wire fencing to keep me out. Bummer....I wanted to eat that basil!

WTF? How am I supposed to eat the basil now????


I also like to eat tomatoes, but these aren't ripe yet. I'm sure I'll get one when they turn red!

Mommy...these tomatoes with that basil would make a FABULOUS Caprese Salad!


Daddy also had to jeri-rig up some fencing for my brother's garden! I love to eat everything in there too! Holden has a very green thumb...he's growing romaine, spinach, mesculin and sweet corn! YUMMY!!!!!!

Can't they see that I'm STAAAAAARVING? Lemme at the food!!!!!!!!!


So now that the outside is looking less ghetto (haha)...Mommy is working on the INSIDE today and tomorrow. The biggest problem is keeping all of my toys put away. I don't know why she's all crabby and yelly about them....SHE'S the one that keep buying them for me!

So that's my report on the house and the crazy humans. Mommy tells me that I get to go see the vet tomorrow for my "annual visit" and I don't like how that sounds. I have a feeling I'm going to be reporting again tomorrow after it's over.
