Last Monday was Holden's last day of 5th grade, which is also AWARDS DAY! Excuse mom while she's all obnoxiously proud and braggy and showing off all of his awards!
Look at the blue/purple ribbons in the front...each ribbon represents a card marking period of this year that Holden made the ALL A honor roll! One ribbon is missing...it was red and represented the A/B honor roll, but Holden got mad and threw it away (perfectionist!).
We are SO SO SO proud of Holden and all of his awards, but our favorite is THIS...
It's the Presidential Award of Academic Achievement with the President's signature (or what appears to be a reasonable fascimilie!).

Why does Holden have braces? Did he eat something he shouldn't have? Knuckles does that all the time, and I'm sure he'll need braces soon too.

Holden, don't let them tell you that you can't chew gum, can crunch hard candy, or eat a caramel apple. Have some fun this summer! Give that brain a rest.
