Out of hiding...and onto the CHEESEWAGON!!!

Hi everyone!
Ok...mom is on her knees begging for everyone to forgive her for being a total complete slacker for the last...oh...THREE WEEKS??? She has lots of pic updates of vacation, visitors, Holden's football practices and other assorted festivites to share with you (in good time) but we're going to ease back into our routine with an all too familiar annual event...
HOLDEN'S FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL!!!!!!

Mom's two legged baby is a SIXTH GRADER!!!!!

You may notice that it's DARK outside...that's because although Holden's school is K-6 (that's how they roll down here in the corn apparently) BUT...he is in BAND which is offered at the Middle School during first period, which means that poor Holden has to get up at the butt-crack of dawn to catch the evil Middle School cheesewagon at SIX FRIGGIN THIRTY!!!! I'm pretty sure that goes above and beyond "jackassery" and has transcended into "ass-hattery"! Six thirty!!! Sheeeeesh!

Here is Holden the renaissance man playing his French Horn in his football pants/pads. Mom says she can't wait for the first concert so she can hear fifty renditions of "Hot Cross Buns"!

ANYWAY...back to the issue of getting up at O'Dark-Thirty this morning...

I knew that Holden was getting ready to LEAVE me, so I got all angsty and barky (which you can imagine mom REALLY enjoyed hearing so early in the AM!)and tried to BLOCK him in!!!!

My staged "sit in" didn't work out so well though....

He stepped RIGHT OVER ME and got onto the cheesewagon!!!!
Photobucket
RUUUUUUDE!!!

Mom tells me the SAME crap is going to happen tomorrow, the next day and the day after that too! WhatEVER...I'm going back to BED!

***Mom's note***
Ok...in my slackerdom...I haven't even been keeping up with all of you, so I promise to come visit all of your bloggies in the next few days and get caught up!!!

Hoorays Salingers is back in actions!!!!!

Ok I (Sequoia) think the cheesewagon is way off course...six thirty is so earlys. Tuni howevers is on an early morning pooping schedule (outside by 615am every freaking day) so she wouldn't mind the cheesewagon rolling in earlys...crazy seniors.

Ok next we can't wait to see and hear all the fun adventures!

Hugs,
S&P

We know what you mean about cheese-wagon. The other humans in our house go into it every morning. We're afraid of our human though. She's been getting a lot of the same stuff the other humans got before they went on the cheese-wagon. We're afraid that she may be leaving us. We're glad that you tried to stop your human...I think it's gonna take more pugs to take down our humans. There's just too many humans in this house we leaving in. Luckily our human says that in two years we are going to move into a different house with a huge yard! But we guess she needs to finish her job first whatever that may be. Good luck tomorrow morning! We learned that humans go to the cheese-wagon Mondays through Fridays!
Oh and by the way. How do we follow your blog? Is there a button we have missed? Thank you for the comment back...it was getting too quiet and we thought other pugs didn't like the stuff we post.
Thanks again!

Wow, school is starting already? And so early in the am? That is just nuts.
PlusOne doesn't start til Sept 2nd! French Horn, nice. Holden and PlusOne should put on a concert! He'll be in 8th grade this year. Yikes!

We can't believe how early Holden has to get up to get on the cheesewagon! Nice try with the "sit in" and trying to block him :)

Welcome back! So good to see you again. What a fine looking young man your big brother is Sal & playing the french horn too! What talent! I'm sure you will be the first one Holden greets when he comes back through that door.

it's ok, we know how emotional mom's get when their two legged babes head back to school. sorry about the early cheesewagon, sal. once it becomes a "normal" thing, you may not be so disturbed. you might just sleep through it!

6:30 in the morning? S-dog we think that should be against the law or something, seriously. You should not let your two legged brother outta the house that early, you should definitely boycott.

We hope that maybe the lack of sleep will help you miss him less while he's at school.

Lots of Licks,

Sorry your bro is back to school, Sal. But the good news is that you'll have so many new adventures with his new friends - just no repeat of the birthday party please! Haha! Btw - my Mommy wants to apologize for the out of order comments she's posting for me. We've been apparently not reading your blog in order. She definately needs some more training.
