I have a green paw!

It's that time of year again...GARDENING!!!!

Mom said it was time to get our herb garden going again, so we drove to Home Depot to do some SHOPPING!

I picked out this nice pot of MINT so we can grow it to make my favorite breath buster biscuits!

We got our loot home and planted before it rained...

The new plants are in the middle...Greek oregano, cilantro, flat leaf parsley, 2 basils and rosemary. The perennials are on each end of the herb garden...chives on the left and sage on the right. I have been working hard and peeing on that sage plant ALL YEAR. Just know that in case you come over and Mom is making Chicken Saltimboca.

The mint went into its own pot.

I keep nibbling at it and mashing my face into it! MMMMMM!

Mom LOVES this snowball bush. She says it looks like a big Hydrangia plant! She planted it when I was a tiny puppy....so it's FOUR years old too!

ACK! We know...the lawn needs to be MOWED, but it was NINTEY FOUR DEGREES (NO JOKE!) here today and it's also rained for like the last 9958439393828289 days straight...so we'll get to it asap!

Ugh...here's what's left of our lilacs....

They were really pretty last week and they smelled up the whole yard! Now they're turning brown and looking pathetic.

OOOHHH...forgot to tell you about the other new addition to the backyard this year!

MY OWN FIRE HYDRANT!!!! Mom and Dad are trying to stop the "polka dotted lawn" syndrome, and got me this thinking I'll pee ONLY on it. HAHAHAHAAAAAA!!!! It's pretty cool, but I still have my usual yard map to leave my pee mails.

NOW hopefully mom won't kill it all!!!

Happy Hump Day everyone!

Cleaning up our act!

Hi everyone! My buddies Winston and Stubby have inspired me to help mom gather up all the old magazines and take them to the RECYCLING bin at Holden's school.

Can you BELIEVE all this crap???? There were so many old magazines stuffed into the magazine rack for the upstairs oval office that it BROKE THE RACK!!!

We took them to Holden's school to feed them to the big Abitibi box! He looked HUNGRY (and his tummy was empty!)

Speaking of hungry and empty tummies...can we stop for a McCheesyBurger on the way home? This recycling is HARD WORK!

We fed the box and mom let me hop out and help too!

Goodbye old magazines!!!

The sign on the side of the Abitibi box says they take ALL KINDS of paper (old mail, papers, magazines, newspapers, etc.) so CLICK HERE to see if there is one near you!

We have one HUGE question though.....does anyone know how to pronounced "Abitibi?"
Mom thinks it's "a BITTY bye"
Dad thinks it's "Abby Tibby"
Me? I don't give a rat's A$$...I just know it didn't involve foodables.

Happy Monday everyone!!!!

***UPDATE**** Mom googled and emailed the link to this post to the Indy Abitibi rep (nice lady named Melinda). SHE WROTE BACK and said that my blog was "too cute" and thanked us for recycling with them and also let us know that it's pronounced "Ab-a-tib-ee" (and Pearl's momma's note in the comments also gave us a helpful tool to confirm this too!)

Lawn Care Supervisor

Hi everyone! Dad mowed the lawn on Saturday, so I had to supervise...

Ok, good job, Dad! I'll just finish snootering away these grass clippings on the driveway and then we can go in for a nice big bowl of water!!!!

We got in the house and mom started in with the "Mom screeching" and started chasing me around with a washcloth yelling about my SHREK FEET!
Check me out!

She's just jealous because I have a whole GREEN PAW....she's always whining about how she doesn't have a "green thumb" and kills all of her plants! HAHAHAHAA

Looks like it's time for a bubble bath!

Wait...I thought it was GOOD to be GREEN!?!?!?!

Happy Earth Day!

In honor of Earth Day today, we're going to borrow the short film made by our very own blogger buddy PUGLET!

Can you believe how SMART he is???? (Mom, on the other hand, is NOT so smart and can't figure out how to make this video fit our space, so just double click it to watch it and it will biggify)

After seeing this video, mom says that I really need to start doing more smart stuff like this to earn my kibble around here! (yeah, thanks a HEAP Puglet!)

GREAT video....and our buddy Stubby helped collaborate on it too! Be sure to check out both of their blogs (Puglet and Stubby) for more great info about being good to Mother Earth.

Mom says she is going to do her part today by not using water to do any laundry or dishes!!

Happy Earth Day!

Mom's kvetch of the day...

Ok, mom wants everyone to know that she's NO tree hugger, but she IS trying her best to make an effort to be "greenish". She stopped being all yelly about those farkakte twirly light bulbs that dad put everywhere in the house and she is QUITE proud of her big shopping tote bag collection!

SO...when she went to WalMart today to pick up flour, salsa, vitamins and new soccer socks for Holden, she was a tad miffed about THIS waiting for her at the end of the checkout thing.

UM...HELLL-LLLOOOOO???????

She wants everyone to know that she is going to REUSE that offending plastic bag to pick up all my land mines in the backyard.

That will teach her to be browsing for GUM and to leave the cashier to scan/pack her stuff unsupervised! Sheesh!!!!
