Holden has had a LOT of long practices after school, and SOMETIMES I get to go and watch (if it isn't too hot). Here is me checking him out before practice looking all big and beefy in his equipment...

I'm sure by now, we all know that Michael Vick has signed with the REAL Eagles. We discovered a cool post from a fellow blogger (Scout and Freyja) that will send an email to Eagles owner Jeff Lurie asking him to match Vick's salary in donations to local animal shelters and rescue groups!

Salinger - I am so ready for some football. I don't have any football jerseys but Mom makes me root for the Cowboys - how 'bout them Cowboys? Dad is a Bears fan, so I guess I have to root for both teams.
I am heading over to that site to sign the petition. I hope the Eagles do more to help puppies and to raise awareness of the cruelty that is dog fighting.

Our momma has wet stuff coming out of her eyes right now. She is finding other dogs and their loved ones are helping to spread the word about the Mr. Vick petition to the Eagles. Our momma thanks you so and so much for your help and interest in this project. We need to stand united as one, loud voice for all of the dogs that are dead or dying as a result of dog fights!
