Are you ready for some FOOTBALL?

Holden has been hard at work with football practice and perfecting his "Pancake/Mack Truck Tackle Technique" while I've been getting some extra laps around the practice field to get me into tip top shape for another season of being the team mascot!

Yep...that's my big brother...the BEEF!!!!


Mom has been taking me up to the field on evenings BELOW 80 degrees so we can walk and I can patrol the sidelines and make new friends!

Aren't these ADORABLE little boys? That's Coy and Mason...they're brothers of Holden's teammate/buddy, Justin! They LOOOOVE me!


Here's a new friend that I just met tonight! This is Avery....

He's a Bearded Collie and he's only SIX MONTHS OLD! It took me a while to warm up and be friends with him (since I'm a "Pugist" and act all uppity toward snouted dogs!) He's a pretty cool dude and belongs to one of Holden's teammates/buddies named Jackson.

Superbowl festivities and possible explanation...

Ugh...good morning after a heartbreaking Superbowl Sunday everyone. By now, you all know that our beloved Colts LOST to the Saints (yeah...they showed us "Who Dat" all right!)

We had a fun time here at our house....here are some pics (and can you believe that mom didn't get ANY of the food?)

And FINALLY....a picture that was taken last November of Heather (Harry Pugalicious' mom) when she was here visiting. She wanted to SEE Lucas Oil Stadium (where the Colts play) and we think she laid some kind of voodoo/gris gris on our Colts back then so they would be sure to lose the Superbowl....here is proof of her casting this odd "spell" using what could ONLY be some sort of ancient magic gesture....

We didn't think we believed in all that hooey...but we are kind of thinking twice this morning!

Saturday Mascot Duty

Hi everyone! My Saturday was a busy one because Holden had a football game and that meant MASCOT DUTY! GO EAGLES!

FINALLY he came out of the gas station with his drink...

Here's me yelling at Dad to get his butt in the car and FLOOR IT or we're going to miss the kickoff!


The good news is...we made it in plenty of time and I stood on the sidelines and helped cheer for our Eagles! Dad got some good action shots...

I also had a HUGE surprise! GRANDMA AND GRANDPA LAWSON were here from Tennessee!!!! I gave Grandma LOTS of love and kisses!


Unfortunately...Holden's team didn't win, but they had a lot of fun playing and then Holden got to give sweaty hugs to Grandma and Grandpa!

First football game of the season!

It's FINALLY that time of year again! FOOTBALL!!! Since Holden moved up to the 5-6 grade league, that meant mom had to redo his door with his new colors!

WHOOHOO! GO #87!!!!


I needed a new jersey for my official mascot duties, so here I am!

Despite all my hard work of cute "mascoting"...the Eagles got their butts handed to them (spanked and bruised!) with a score of 28-0

Looks like there will be EXTRA practices this week. Ugh!

Yep...it's officially FOOTBALL season around here!!! Holden is playing his THIRD season of tackle football for the Pendleton Junior Football League and was drafted by the Philadelphia Eagles for his 5th-6th grade years!!! WHOOHOO! Here he is looking like a tough guy in his new jersey (look at the two beaming next to him! HAHAHA)



Holden has had a LOT of long practices after school, and SOMETIMES I get to go and watch (if it isn't too hot). Here is me checking him out before practice looking all big and beefy in his equipment...

In related news.....

I'm sure by now, we all know that Michael Vick has signed with the REAL Eagles. We discovered a cool post from a fellow blogger (Scout and Freyja) that will send an email to Eagles owner Jeff Lurie asking him to match Vick's salary in donations to local animal shelters and rescue groups!
