Paging Dr. Salinger!!!

Oh no...Holden is SICK! Mom thought he was just getting a cold, but he woke up feeling and sounding HORRIBLE this morning (she said he sounded like FROGGY from the Little Rascals!), so she decided to keep him home from school and take him to the doctor. I KNEW something was wrong with him, so I stood guard when he went back to bed.

Mom took Holden to the doctor (the one with the MD after his name) and he asked a lot of questions and checked Holden out and listened to his chest and said "Uh oh! That's not good!" and then told mom that he has PNEUMONIA!!! No school today, tomorrow and possibly Friday if he's still feeling yucky!

SO...that means time for me to get to work making sure Holden gets better...

They stopped at the pharmacy on the way home to fill these prescriptions and I stood there watching and made sure he took them correctly...

Down the hatch, Holden!!! Dr. Salinger's orders!

Mom made us some yummy homemade chicken noodle soup!

None of that saltwater crap in a can!!!!

I tasted it first to make sure it was ok....

Yep...it's good...go ahead and eat it, Brother...Dr. Salinger's orders!

THEN mom made up the couch like a bed for Holden. I brought him Grace and Phoebe (the stuffed Pugs) to help keep him company.

My job as Dr. Salinger is to make sure Holden gets lots of rest, plenty to drink and can reach the TV remote at all times!

FEEL BETTER SOON HOLDEN!!!

In other news...we want to wish a VERY VERY VERY happy 12th birthday to our buddy STUBBY the Eco-Pug!!! If you don't know Stubby, make sure you click on his name to drop by his blog and say HI. He is a VERY cool dude and is very wise and enviornmentally savvy and shares lots of cool tips about making our planet better. Happy birhday, dude!!!!

Dr. Salinger - Tell your mom that she needs to buy you a little white coat and a cute little stethoscope. Didn't they give you those in medical school?

I can't believe Holden has pneumonia - that is just awful! I'm sure you've treated cases like this before, so this will be a piece of cake for you. If you need an assistant, just let me know. I am not a real doctor like you because I haven't graduated yet. I am still in training, but I can help if you need me.

Thanks so much for the birthday shout out on your blog. All of your blogging pals are stopping by my blog to wish me happy birthday, so thanks for introducing me to your friends.

Tell Holden that I am sending good karma to him.

Stubby xoxo

Dr. Salinger,
I am so very sorry to hear about Holden, but I'm sure that you will continue to take very good care of him. I'm sure that between you're doctoring skills and your mom's TLC, that Holden will be better very soon!
